Rebel Maximizes Natural Attraction with Soft Plastic Bait Series

Rebel Lures has a long tradition producing lures with natural shapes and color patterns to match gamefish forage species. Iconic and ever-productive “critter baits,” such as the Rebel Crawfish, Crickhopper and Hellgrammite, appeal to many fish species and are easy to use.

Rebel is building on that tradition with a new series of LIVEflex soft plastic lures, which imitate some of the same forage types but with the flowing movement only soft baits can provide, strong fish-attracting scent and built-in posturing that enhances visibility and builds realism. The new Rebel Creek Craw, Creek Creature, Cata Crawler, Hopper and Shore Shiner mimic the appearance and behavior of the most popular menu items for various predator fish species in creeks, ponds, rivers and lakes.

Infused with a strong, natural attractant that fish can smell and taste, the LIVEflex material is also ultra-durable, highly flexible and buoyant. Durability means spending more time fishing and less time changing baits and spending less money. Flexibility maximizes natural movement in the water. Buoyancy allows for stand-up postures to better mimic nature and increase visibility to the fish.

The new Rebel LIVEflex baits are all 1 3/4 to 2 inches in length and sized to appeal to panfish, bass, trout and more. Each comes in realistic colors created to match that specific bait.

The Creek Craw and Hopper imitate exactly what the name would suggest. The Shore Shiner is a slender swimbait with quick tail action that suggests various shiners, darters, chubs and more. The Cata Crawler is a finesse worm with catalpa worm shaping, while the Creek Creature suggests various aquatic insect nymphs, including stoneflies and mayflies.

Designed to be matched with 1/10- and 1/16-ounce Rebel KEG Jig Heads, all LIVEflex baits come with one bait pre-rigged on each jig head size, plus one extra 1/16-ounce head. The KEG heads roll over rocks and other cover and allow for great stand-up bottom presentations and are well balanced for swimming baits. They feature a keeper and sharp No. 1 hook and are painted to match the baits with which they are paired. Both sizes of KEG Jig Head are also available separately in Brown, Black, Green Pumpkin and Pearl.
